An unexpected EF-1 tornado (or a few of them) hit our neighborhood on December 8th, 2008.  A lot of damage was done for more than a mile long and a half mile wide.  As far as we know, only a couple of people were injured, nobody was killed and a few had close calls.  The tornado was not even expected to be a possibility, so most families were fast asleep, when it hit at 11:40 pm.  Even the National Weather Service had no idea this was coming.  It just hit.  As you can imagine, a lot of damage was done to homes, carports, sheds, etc..

All the photos on these pages were taken by R. La Viness from the 9th to the 11th of December, 2008.  I have the original photos which may have more detail and cover more space than these show, as these have been cropped and reduced to load more easily.  If you need any of these photos for insurance or other good cause, please e-mail me and I will gladly share.
