19. Emily Adeline Haseltine CARTER was born on 19 Feb 1857 in Ouachita Co, AR. She died on 7 May 1882 in Ouachita Co, AR. She was buried in Bluff City, Ouachita Co (now Nevada Co), AR, Bluff City Cem. Silas and Emily were living on "the old House Place" in the 1880's. On Sep 3, 1883, Lucinda, daughter of William John and Rebecca CARTER, had been keeping Josie's baby for several weeks. H.R.J. ADAMS, born 25 Feb 1882, died 14 Ag 1901 buried at Bluff City, AR, is thought to be a daughter of Emily Adeline Haseltine CARTER & Josie ADAMS.  (WEBMASTER'S NOTE: Please correct me if I'm wrong, but is this "Lucinda" supposed to be Sarah Lucinda CARTER, who is listed as having died in 1850?  If so, either she did not die at that time, or another "Lucinda" was keeping the baby.)

She was married to Silas Joseph "Josie" ADAMS on 12 Mar 1879. Silas Joseph "Josie" ADAMS was born on 25 Dec 1852. He died on 25 Mar 1908. He was buried in Bluff City, Ouachita Co (now Nevada Co), AR, Bluff City Cem. Emily Adeline Haseltine CARTER and Silas Joseph "Josie" ADAMS had the following children:
